Kitchen Bins

Founded in 1939 by Holger Nielsen, Vipp is a family business run by a second and third generation today. It all started in Denmark when Nielsen created a bin for his wife Marie, for her hairdressing salon. Holger wanted to impress his wife, and used all his talent to create a functional and beautiful pedal bin for her. The bin, which he named Vipp, was never intended to be sold, but some of Marie’s customers were so impressed with the bin that they order it for their husband’s surgeries and dental clinics. “Good design never goes out of fashion”, Neilsen always said. And time would prove him right; the Vipp bin has hardly changed in either design or materials since it was created. (More information on VIPP)
