I just used this shower column, so I don't know the long term care and wear problems it may have. Here's what I know: The rainfall shower head is nicely drenching. The hand-held sprayer has three settings, but because the water sprays aren't sharply defined, one doesn't feel much different from the other. But the head is wide, so it provides a lot of water coverage, like the stationary shower head. There are four controls; one for the shower temperature (bottom knob), and one for each of the functions. You can also use more than one function at once. What I am disappointed with are the body sprays. I am short--only 5'3", which may be why I found the body spray placements problematic. I tried to have the top sprays placed to hit my shoulders. That left the bottom sprays hitting me below the waist and at the top of my thighs. They are adjustable, but only within about 3" top to bottom. So I don't get much benefit from these sprays. Also, although they look like their entire surface will provide water spray, in actuality, there are only five little points in the middle from which water flows. And because they are such tiny points, the spray feels like needles hitting your skin. So I paid more for this feature, and I will likely never use it again. Very disappointing. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend it because you can just get a regular shower head and hand-held spray for a lot less. However, for taller people, this may be just fine (if you like needles hitting your skin).
